AREA 16 International Speech & Table Topics Contest

The Area 16 Speech Contests was hosted on March 26, 2006 by Mayflower Toastmasters
at the Mayflower Retirement Community.  Florida Hospital Toastmasters was well represented with an OUTSTANDING turnout of supporters, functionaries, participants and GUESTS!

Congratulations and thanks to:
Chief Contest Judge: Sara Alsup
Vote Counters: Paula Summa and Barbara Bonaparte
Table Topics participant: Jenola Bradwell
International Speech Contest participant: Scott Hoehn
Spirited Supporters: Ellen Weiss, Taylor Davis,  Donna Davis & Wendy Proctor - All Club Members!
Family Support: Jenola Bradwell had one of her daughters, Dottie Cauley, present to cheer us on.

The competition was tough, but our members, Jenola Bradwell and Scott Hoehn used their best skills and proved once again that we are definitely a club to contend with!  Scott walked away with the Second Place trophy for the International Speech Contest, with his speech "Time in a Bottle".  The First Prize trophies will be in our club's possession next year!  It's open to us all, so let's get busy writing those award winning speeches!

Past District Govenor, Karl Righter (1973-1974) shakes hands with club member, Scott Hoehn II.  Scott's father, Scott Hoehn Sr was an Area Govenor (Area One), under Karl's direction that same year. Small world, eh?
