Typical Meeting?

Typical Meeting?  We can take you from serious, to silly, to tears, to motivated all in a little over an hour!  The range of energy from one meeting can take you through the most demanding week.  Here are just a few photos taken at this week's meeting.

How many times have you been asked what your thoughts were on some off-the-wall topic?  "Table Topics" is the portion of the meeting when you don't have a clue of what you might be asked.  The Table Topics Master comes up with a random topic for you. Then you quickly put together a mini-speech to last from a minute to two minutes.

Here, we see President Sara Alsup (right), presenting member Barbara Bonaparte her first place ribbon for speaking on "her favorite event during the Olympics"

Variety?  Have we got VARIETY in subject matter!  Toastmaster members are given several project speeches to work on, but whatever they choose to speak on, is totally up to them!  Here, member Sherrie Cameron is waking members up with her speech, entitled "An Affair With... COFFEE!"

"What's The Worst That Could Happen?", Toastmaster member, Scott Hoehn asks, as he demonstrates some of the ridiculous situations he encountered while in the Air Force.

Members did not expect to see a rendition of Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" while Hoehn was wearing a gas mask and holding a toy gun.

Come join the fun... You never know what you're gonna get!

Evaluation... that's the KEY to helping members improve on their communication skills.  Here we see member Jose Figueroa (Left) giving a General Evaluation of the meeting.  On our Right, we see member Paula Summa evaluating a member's speech.  Just as speakers receive ribbons for their efforts, evaluators are also awarded for the precision and helpfulness of their evaluations.
