CLUB LEVEL International Speech and Table Topics Contest

On Wednesday, March 7, 2007 Florida Hospital Toastmasters Club held its annual International Speech and Table Topics Contest at the Trickel Conference Room in Florida Hospital's Cancer Center. 

The Club level International Speech competition is the first step on the path to becoming the World Champion of Public Speaking.  Listen to Florida Hospital members as they use all the skills they have learned through Toastmasters to effectively deliver their messages. 

The Club level Table Topics Contest challenges members to think on their feet as they present impromptu speeches based on topics given to them on a moments notice.  This skill is invaluable in all "real life" situations (office meetings, interviews, social situations and more).  Listen and learn how Toastmasters can benefit YOU!

The winners of these competitions will progress to the Area 16 Contest, the Division C Contest, and finally the District 47 Spring Conference.  The winner of the International Speech Contest will go on to compete in the Region 8 and finally Toastmasters International contest, to be held this year in Phoenix, Arizona.  That winner will earn the title of World Champion of Public Speaking!
 

Contests SEEM so easy to the casual observer.  However, a lot of work goes on in the background to make these events appear to be seamless.  Our Vice President of Public Relations and co-founder of the club, Sara Alsup, takes her duties seriously!  Ordering trophies, arranging for the meeting room, preparing agendas and supplying all participants with the proper paperwork and training, makes Sara a shining star as far as leadership is concerned.  Thank you Sara, for all that you do!

Teamwork, ultimately is the key to a successful contest.  Put your hands together for the following contestants, judges and functionaries for performing their roles in this contest.
