NASA Special Operations Manager Joe Dowdy on Leadership

"It's great to be us!"  Joe Dowdy says to the audience as he relives challenging moments he encountered while serving in the United States Marine Corp.  

The former Colonel now uses his leadership skill as Kennedy Space Center's Special Operations Manager.  Dowdy gave his presentation to a group of Business Leadership students at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  The event was sponsored by the Crummer @ Rollins Toastmasters Club under the direction of Dr Susan Bach of the Business Department.  

"Never let them see you run!" was one of the many secrets that Dowdy shared regarding effective leadership.

Crummer business students are constantly being challenged to become effective leaders.  The turnout and audience participation was outstanding.  Dr Susan Bach addressed the students, letting them know the importance that Mr Dowdy has to their advancement.

Special thanks to Rollins College for the promoting and hosting of this event.  The beautiful Rollins facilities are always wonderful for accommodating productions such as these.

The event was also open to all Toastmasters and had very good  attendance.  Most noteworthy was the Central Florida Communicators Club, which cancelled their regular meeting in order to attend.
