"CLUB ORANGE" Rocks the Jail House!
Orange County Corrections Department opens it's new Club and is 20 Members Strong!
Club Orange - Club # 1003419 - One in a MILLION Clubs!
Welcome to the District 47, Division "C", Area 16 Family!

The spirit of this club is captivating!  Pardon the pun, but the professionalism and camaraderie of Club Orange is already reflecting in their meetings.  Tammy Gappen, Assistant Orange County Attorney and Club President of Orlando Conquerors (Club #1066) has been the driving force to launch this dynamic club.

Meeting at the Administrative Building on Vision Boulevard, this club is open to all Orange County Corrections Department staff members, with the ultimate goal of improving communication and leadership skills.  If you are not eligible for membership to this club (Orange County Corrections staff members only), there are tons of other clubs in the Orlando Area.  Click on any of the links above (Chartered Clubs) to visit other Area 16 clubs.  If none of them fit your schedule, visit http://www.toastmasters.org/find/ for a complete list of all 10,000 clubs in the World.  There's always a club ready for YOU!

Here are some photos of their third club meeting.

Join your fellow officers in the relaxed atmosphere of the Administrative Building 4th floor conference room.  The club meets on alternate Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Officer Conchita Holloman has now made history by becoming the FIRST member of the new club to give a speech!  Conchita is shown here giving her "Ice Breaker" talk which is basically a 4-6 minute introduction to the club.  Congratulations Conchita!

Everyone gets a chance to participate as the "Table Topics" portion of the meeting challenges members to think on their feet. A random topic is presented, and then a 1 to 2 minute "mini speech" is given.  At the end of the meeting, an award is presented to the best "Table Topics" speaker of the evening.

Who got HIS goat?  Sgt Moonsamy relates his hysterically funny Christmas memory that involved receiving a GOAT for a present!

Great clubs don't just happen by accident.  Here, Club Sponsor, Tammy Gappen is giving a brief presentation on how to organize a speech.  Club President, Mollie DiBartolo takes notes in order to better lead her new club.  Many more "educational moments" will be presented as this club forms, to ensure that everyone has the tools needed to become excellent communicators.

Sgt Moonsamy is presented the Club's first award for "Best Table Topics" by Lieutenant Deanne Adams, the Club's new Sergeant-At-Arms.  Congratulations Sergeant Moonsamy!

Do YOU have a presentation to give?  Are YOU hoping to advance in your career?  Do YOU enjoy the company of positive people gathering to help improve each other in all aspects of communication?  Then THIS club is right for you.

Contact Hope Simpson (Vice President of Membership) or Tammy Gappen (Club Sponsor) at 321-388-1011 about visiting and joining this group!
