On Thursday, October 19, 2006,
District 47
Governor, Loretta Sandy, DTM,
held a Kickoff Meeting for the Bank Of America employees in downtown
Orlando. The greeting was warm and friendly; the food, delicious;
the meeting environment, inviting; the energy level, HIGH! This
club, although just forming, is one to be watched in the future.
With dynamic leadership and enthusiastic new members, it will soon be
making itself known in Area 16!Here

Guest speaker, Jocelyn Abernathy (Florida
Hospital Toastmasters #4823) did her homework for her speech "Put Your
Heart Where Your Money Is!". Jocelyn surprised the audience with a
talk about the humble beginning of the founder of Bank of America.
She further spoke of how B of A employees put their hearts into their
work. Her efforts were given hearty (pun intended) applause from the
members. |
New members jumped into the round of "Table
Topics" (impromptu speaking). We heard everything from United Way
progress, to favorite TV shows and vacation memories. |
